2025 Service Agreement

Client and Dog Information: 

Please make sure we have a completed and accurate Client History form.  This form covers information across services, feel free to skip over portions if they are not applicable to you and your dog. .

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General: Health and Aggression Policy:

Illness and Aggression Policy: By attending in-person training sessions, I confirm that both human and canine attendees are, to the best of my knowledge, in good health and not suffering from or receiving treatment for contagious illness. By participating in Like Magic services, I am confirming that my dog’s vaccinations are up to date.  I have also shared, to the best of my knowledge, a true and accurate summation of my dog’s bite history and agree to provide updates of any future incidents prior to my next service date. I understand that failure to disclose known illness or aggression prior to meeting may result in termination of services without refund.  I further agree to disclose when my female dog is in season prior to Like Magic services.  

Boarding Programs: Illness and In-Season:

In dropping your dog off at Like Magic, you are confirming that, to the best of your knowledge, your dog is in good health and not suffering from or receiving treatment for contagious illness, and is up to date on vaccinations.  Any suspicion of illness in advance of a stay must be disclosed to Like Magic in advance of drop off and all medications, dosages, and purposes thereof must be included on the Contact and Care form prior to drop off.  Failure to disclose known illness or purpose of medication may incur additional fee and/or result in immediate termination of services without refund.  

In-Season dogs can be boarded at Like Magic with prior disclosure.  Arriving in season or coming into season during a stay may incur additional cleaning and convenience fee that will be discussed with owners of intact females for whom this is a concern.  Please let Liz know as soon as possible if you believe your dog may come into season during their stay.

Invoices and Fees:

All invoices and fees are due prior to the start of services.  Late payments may be subject to additional fees. Individual payment plans may be approved on a case-by-case basis and will be agreed-upon prior to the start of services.

Boarding Programs: Invoices and Fees:

For all overnight services, a 25% nonrefundable deposit must be rendered upon receipt of invoice in order to secure the boarding spot.  The remaining balance is due on the dog’s first date of stay prior to drop off.  Training programs will not begin until payment is rendered.  If payment is not rendered within 24 hours of arrival, the card used for the deposit may be charged with an additional 5% late fee.

In scheduling your boarding stay, please be aware that pick up and drop off times are subject to Like Magic availability and cannot be scheduled prior to 8:00 am or after 8:00 pm.  Confirm any necessary scheduling limitations for drop off and pick up prior to confirming the dates of your stay.

If an acclimation stay was requested by Like Magic prior to your dog’s stay, the amount charged for the acclimation stay ($125) will be credited to the first deposit after your acclimation stay.  If additional stays were needed, or the acclimation stay was requested by the client, those stays cannot be credited.

Subscription Services: Invoices and Fees:

For subscription services including Level Up and Training Montage: Purchases will be automatically charged monthly from the time of sign up. Please reach out to Liz directly to update payment methods.

Communication and Updates:

Formal recaps and updates will be provided through your personalized website available within Guild Hall.  Please make sure to sign up for a Guild Hall membership (free to all clients) in order to access your site.

Please direct communication between sessions through email to liz@likemagicdogtraining.com or via WhatsApp at 443-812-5075.  Emails are addressed in the morning and evening, but responses will be limited between 5:00pm and 9:00am, as well as on weekends.

Boarding or board and train updates are provided approximately once daily either via update to Like Magic social media or through WhatsApp.  Please download WhatsApp in advance of your dog’s stay so Liz can contact you there.  

Cancellation Policy:

I understand that, as a client of Like Magic, I am responsible for timely making payment in full at the start of services, regardless of whether I choose to complete the training program.  If payments are not timely made, Like Magic is not obligated to provide further services.  Alternate payment plans may be agreed upon on a case by case basis. I understand that by agreeing to a payment plan I have committed to the full length of the training program and am responsible for the full cost of the plan.

Individual Private Session Cancellation: 

Cancellations for individual private sessions (day training, decompression hikes, private sessions, etc) made up to 24 hours before a scheduled appointment via email, text, or phone call will be processed without a penalty. Cancellations made 24 hours or less before an appointment may be subject to a charge of the full service rate.

Private Training Package Cancellation: 

I understand that once a recommended program has begun, no refunds will be provided for client cancellation prior to completion of services, and that should a program not be completed, I maintain responsibility to complete payment plans in place, so long as Like Magic is in a position to provide training services. 

Programs with repeat sessions are intended to be scheduled on a regular, recurring basis to ensure consistent training and feedback.  Packages and single sessions must be completed within 8 weeks of purchase or incomplete sessions are considered abandoned and non-refundable. 

Subscription Cancellation: 

Withdrawal from Level Up Subscription Services and Training Montage Subscription Services must be communicated more than 72 hours in advance of the next charge in order to be processed.  Cancellations within 72 hours of the next charge may not be processed until after the upcoming charge and will be in effect the following month.

Class Cancellation: 

I understand that withdrawal from a class must be completed more than 48 hours in advance of the first class, and that once this time has passed no refunds will be provided. Should I not be able to complete a class, I maintain responsibility to complete payment plans in place, so long as Like Magic is in a position to provide training services.  

Rolling class packages must be completed within 8 weeks of purchase or incomplete sessions are considered abandoned and non-refundable.

Boarding and Board and Train Cancellation: 

A 25% deposit for the balance for the boarding stay is due upon booking and confirmation. This deposit is nonrefundable.  

 Request to shorten the length of stay can be made up to 72 hours before the first night of stay - adjustments will not impact the nonrefundable deposit originally charged but the outstanding balance will be adjusted.  Requests made within 72 hours or less before a scheduled stay may be subject to a charge of the full service rate.

The client is always welcome to arrange pick up for their dog earlier, however once a stay has begun, no refunds will be provided for client cancellation prior to completion of services, and the client maintains responsibility to complete payment plans in place, so long as Like Magic is in a position to provide training services. 

Requests to lengthen the stay may be honored based upon trainer availability.  Deposit will not be increased, and the full cost of additional dates will be invoiced separately or added to the outstanding balance.

Handoff sessions must be completed within 12 weeks of your dog’s stay or incomplete sessions are considered abandoned and non-refundable.  

Weather Policy: 

Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled due to inclement weather if the behavior is not appropriate to be worked on virtually. Private Training Sessions may take place at the client’s home if requested, however additional travel fees may be charged for travel greater than 15 minutes from trainer’s home. 

Liability Agreement:

Like Magic will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training of my dog and will offer only sound, safe, and responsible training and training instructions. However, to the extent that Like Magic is insured for any unintentional or negligent errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions, Like Magic will be responsible for any such acts or omissions, but only to the extent of such insurance. 

I have been told by Like Magic and understand the inherent risks of owning a dog, including but not limited to the risk of dog bites to myself or others. I represent and warrant that I have provided Like Magic with full and complete, accurate information regarding any bite history and similar incidents or hazardous tendencies of my dog, and that I will update that information if it changes. 

I understand that I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my dog at all times, and I hereby agree to indemnify, release, and hold harmless Like Magic of any and all claims, whether made my myself or any third party, of injury, expense, costs, or damages caused by my dog. 

I understand that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction with that product or service.

I authorize Liz Cummins to take my dog into public spaces during his/her training program. Dependent upon training goals and scheduling, this may include travel by car across state lines in order to provide appropriate decompression hikes, training experiences, and novel exposure including but not limited to public parks, public pet-friendly locations, private dwellings, trial and competition environments, training club, and group training classes or outings.

I authorize emergency medical care to be provided for my dog(s) by my identified veterinarian, or an appropriate alternative to be determined by Liz Cummins in the event that my regular veterinarian is not available or that closer care is required.  I will immediately reimburse Liz Cummins for any charges related to emergency care, including office visits, procedures, medications, surgeries, etc.

This contract, together with language expressly incorporated into it in writing, is the full and complete agreement between myself and Like Magic and is applicable to all 2025 private training and group class services including but not limited to: Session Zero Consultations, Private Training Sessions, Boarding and Board and Train Programs, Group Classes, as well as all Subscription Services.  A complete and accurate copy of this contract is as valid as the original. This contract is made valid by in-person signatures, electronically signed signatures, confirmation through Squarespace scheduling, or upon receipt of a signed, scanned copy by email. I understand that confirming here indicates my understanding and agreement to all policies noted above.
